Winter Booking Meeting 2024, February 5th & 6th at the CoMMA in Morganton, NC: Details Coming December, 2023

NCPC hosts at least three in-person events each year - Winter Booking Meeting, Annual Meeting, and the now annual ArtsMarket conference. These in-person gatherings are one of our greatest strengths and do the most to foster the spirit of collaboration and collegiality that is so important to NCPC. See below for more information about these events:

The Winter Booking Meeting is normally held over two days in late January and is open only to present members only. It is hosted by different member venues around the state each year. The winter meeting focuses primarily on following up and maintaining momentum from the fall session with two half-day booking discussions. We also facilitate smaller group discussions focused on current issues or special areas of interest. Additional activities typically include a lunch-and-learn educational session and a networking dinner. Since our online booking activity has proven to streamline the in-person meeting process, we're considering adding some degree of professional development to future winter meetings.

NCPC's Annual Meeting is held in mid-June each year, alternating between mountain and coastal locations; 2023's meeting will be hosted by Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington. The three-day meeting focuses on professional development and networking, with a variety of sessions dedicated to guest speakers, workshops, forums, and round tables addressing a host of member-requested topics. In addition, it includes the annual business meeting, artist and agent pitches, and plenty of opportunities for less structured networking and socializing. The meeting is open to all member categories and provides the largest amount of facetime for artists and agents to meet with presenters and cultivate valuable relationships.

ArtsMarket is a widely respected performing arts showcase conference that attracts upwards of 500 delegates from the southeastern United States and beyond. Usually held in Durham, NC, over three days, it features an average of three dozen live showcase performances at the Carolina Theatre and 130 exhibit booths at the Durham Convention Center, as well as an opening reception, new colleague and professional development sessions, and countless networking opportunities. NCPC members have access to virtual meetings and professional development workshops throughout the course of the year. These virtual gatherings are an integral part of supporting not only professional development but collaborative growth within and throughout the performing arts world. See below for more information about these members only events:

NCPC offers presenting members access to virtual focus groups. These groups meet quarterly are a way for presenters to connect and collaborate with each other--having discussions, asking questions, sharing resources, inspiring each other, and more.

NCPC offers professional development sessions throughout the year at in-person meetings as well as virtually. These sessions focus on topics that are relevant to all of our members and provide high-quality continuing education at a very low cost. Member feedback is a driving factor in determining topics for professional development sessions.
