ArtsMarket 2024 Event Information

The NCPC Board of Directors in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council, cordially invites you to join us for ArtsMarket 2024, an extraordinary gathering that guarantees numerous networking opportunities, professional development, captivating showcases, and a few special surprises as well! ArtsMarket 2024 will be hosted at the Carolina Theatre, the Durham Convention Center, and the Durham Armory, all located in the heart of beautiful Durham, NC.

Event Activities

Mentor/Mentee Meeting

Monday, October 21st at 1:00pm in the Carolina Theatre Connie Moses Ballroom

We invite all of our ArtsMarket mentors and mentees to meet ahead of our New Colleague information session. This is your opportunity to meet in-person and connect before all of the event activities begin!

New Colleague Welcome Session and Tour

Monday, October 21st at 1:30pm in the Carolina Theatre Connie Moses Ballroom

We invite new presenters and all first time ArtsMarket attendees to join representatives from the NC Arts Council,  South Arts, NAPAMA, and NCPC for an informational session where you will learn how to best navigate ArtsMarket and gain tips and tools that will enhance your conference experience. Please Note: Attendance is optional. Please sign up to attend this session when you register for the conference.

Professional Development Sessions

Monday, October 21st at 2:45pm and 3:50pm in the Carolina Theatre

  • Professional Development Session One at 2:45pm: This session will feature two separate professional learning opportunities for ArtsMarket attendees. Participants will select the session of their choice to attend. More information on these sessions will be shared soon!

Opening Plenary & Dinner

October 21st at 5:00pm at the Durham Armory

Join us for a seated opening night dinner at the beautiful Durham Armory. Catered by Bruce Davis with On Board Catering, we've planned an event filled with delicious food, networking opportunities and a featured opening plenary given by NC based actor, playwright, and arts educator Mike Wiley.

After Showcase Gatherings

October 21st and 22nd at 10:15pm

Let's keep the party going with our after-showcase gatherings! Following showcases each night, ArtsMarket attendees are invited to attend our after-showcase gatherings. This is an opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and enjoy some time together once the curtains have closed. Please note: While NCPC has arranged these events, participants will be responsible for any food or drink consumed during the event.

Champagne, Charcuterie & Conversation: A Networking Event 

October 22nd at 4:15pm-5:15pm at the Durham Armory

Performing arts touring and presenting has always been a relationship business—never more so than in this economy. Trusted relationships are essential to every presenter, artist, agent, vendor or service organization. During this fun-filled networking event, participants will gather together and spend time exchanging information and insights while sipping on champagne (or something bubbly), snacking on charcuterie, and maybe even winning some exciting giveaways!

Dine-Arounds in Downtown Durham

October 22nd at 5:30pm in Downtown Durham

Join us to dine around downtown Durham ahead of our evening showcase block. NCPC dine-arounds are informal dinners hosted at local restaurants. Dine-arounds offer a unique opportunity for networking, engaging conversations, and peer learning. Stay turned for more information on how to sign up for your dine-around!

October 23rd at 5:30pm

As we close out ArtsMarket 2024, we invite our presenters to join us for a closing night reception. This event is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow presenters ahead of the upcoming Fall Block Booking Meeting. More details on this event to come!

Conference Parking

If you are attending the conference during the daytime only (not staying overnight in a hotel) then you may purchase a discounted parking pass for one or all of the conference dates when registering. The Durham Center Parking Garage (directly across the W. Morgan street) is offering ArtsMarket attendees a special (one-time use per day only) parking pass for $10 per day. This is not for multiple in and out privileges. When registering for the conference, please be sure to indicate if you would like to purchase a pass, and for which day(s) so that one or more can be provided to you. 

Airport Transportation Options

Skylink Shuttle is offering ArtsMarket attendees the following airport shuttle prices as an "ArtsMarket Special." Skyline Shuttle will pick you up at the airport and transport you to ANY downtown Durham hotel. Pricing is as follows: $45 (1st Passenger) and $5 for each additional passenger if you are picked up as a group.

Please Note: Airport shuttle services are NOT included with your registration. Transportation costs and arrangements will be the responsibility of the conference attendee. ArtsMarket attendees are not obligated to use Skylink Shuttle and are welcome to use Uber or any other preferred mode of transportation.
